Who is the Sonoma County Tenants Union?

We are a union of renters, mobile home owners and allies in Sonoma County who believe in housing justice for all.  The mission of SCTU is to build power among tenants within Sonoma County that addresses their challenges within their living situations, moving from individual crisis to collective action. SCTU serves to strengthen tenants’ political and social power through education, advocacy, grassroots organizing, and collective action, and organizes to expand renter protections to prevent displacement, eliminate unjust evictions, and promote inclusive communities in Sonoma County.                

 

Will my data be kept anonymous? 

Yes, all data is input to a private database with the North Bay Organizing Project.

 

Will my landlord know I took this survey? 

No, all data will be kept anonymous and your landlord should have no idea that you took this.

 

Will I get spam mail? 

No, we only send emails to those who expressed they want to receive emails to receive updates on our organization.

 

Where and when can I see the results of the survey? 

We will be finalizing our report ahead of the Sonoma County Renters Assembly on October 17, 2026.

 

How will my data be used?
The findings will be used in a report to promote stronger renter protections.

 

How long will the survey be open? 

The 2026 renter survey is open from May to September 2026.

 

How do I stay up-to-date with the Sonoma County Tenants Union? 

You can sign up to learn more about the tenant union in the survey and join us in our monthly gathering on the third Saturday of the month. 

 

Can I share the survey with others or join the renter survey team?
